How do I start a return? 

We do our best to make returns easy because parenting is stressful enough! Your satisfaction is our priority. We stand behind the quality of our products, and if, for any reason, you do not love our products as much as we do, we will happily assist you with a stress-free return. Please note that we are only able to accept returns for items purchased from newtonbaby.com. Purchases made through third parties (Amazon, Babylist, nordstrom.com) must be returned to the original purchasing site.

 

Do you provide return labels?

Do I need the original packaging to return my product? 

It's important to package return items properly to ensure that it arrives in good condition. Here are some tips for packaging an item for return:

1. Use the original packaging if possible: If you still have the original packaging, use it to pack the item for return. This will help ensure that the item is properly protected during transit.

2. Soft items such as crib mattresses or extra covers can be covered by a black plastic bag, such as a contractor bag. These need to be wrapped tightly around the product so as not to risk being snagged on processing equipment during shipping transit. Larger items such as Travel Cribs and Bassinets need to be secured in a cardboard package. 

3. Choose a sturdy box: If you don't have the original packaging, choose a sturdy box that is slightly larger than the item you are returning. This will give you room to add padding and protect the item if needed. We all get many deliveries in this day and age, and a large box can be easily crafted using several smaller boxes. 

4. Label the box clearly. Mark out or cover any previous shipping labels on the box being used and ensure your new shipping label is front and center so that the item is returned to the correct location.

By following these tips, you can help ensure that the item you are returning arrives in good condition, and that the return process goes smoothly.

 

I received my item as a gift and don't have the order number. How can I return it?

If your gift was purchased directly from Newton Baby (and not through another retailer), you can return it as long as it's within the applicable return window.

To get started, visit our Returns & Exchanges portal and select "Returning or exchanging a gift? Start Gift Return Here." You'll then be prompted to enter the information needed to locate the order and complete your gift return or exchange.

 

I ordered through Amazon, Babylist, Nordstrom or another retailer. Can I return my item to Newton?

At this time, we can only accept returns for items purchased directly from newtonbaby.com.

If your item was purchased through another authorized retailer, please contact that retailer directly for assistance with your return. Their return policies and procedures will apply to your purchase.

 

Can I return a gift I received through my registry? I'm not sure where it was originally purchased.

If the gift was purchased directly from newtonbaby.com, it may be eligible for return within our return policy.

If you're unsure where it was purchased, we recommend checking with the gift giver or your registry details. If the item was purchased through Amazon, Babylist, or another retailer, the return will need to be processed through that retailer, as we can only accept returns for purchases made directly on newtonbaby.com.

 

Is return shipping free?

Yes, all return shipping labels provided will be pre-paid, including returns from Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada.

 

Do you have a restocking fee?

No, we do not have restocking fees. 

 

When will my return be refunded? I requested an exchange; when will the new item ship? 

Once your returned item is received at our facility, please allow up to 10 business days for your return to be processed.

For refunds, you'll receive an email confirmation once your refund has been issued. Depending on your financial institution, the funds are typically available within 2–7 business days after the refund is processed.

If you requested an exchange, your replacement order will be created once your returned item has been received and processed. You'll receive an order confirmation email as soon as the new order has been placed.

 

What if the return window has closed?

If the return window has closed, that means that the item is no longer able to be returned. If you have extenuating circumstances that warrant a conversation, please contact our team.

 

What is your return policy?

Crib Mattresses, Kids Twin' Mattress, Bassinets, Travel Cribs, and Pet Beds: 

We require all of the above product returns to happen within the 100 night free trial time frame. The 100 Night Trial only is valid for products purchased directly from NewtonBaby.com. While we suggest keeping the original packaging for proper handling in the event of a return, items that qualify for the 100-night trial may be open and used at the time of the return. Products returned within the above parameters will be credited in the same form as the initial payment. Free return shipping is offered with a prepaid return label.  You can create your return request and shipping label here. 

 

30 Day Returns for Pads, Extra Covers, Sheets, Newton Cribs, Lorimer Diaper Bag: 

Sheets, extra covers, pregnancy pillows and mattress pads are eligible for return within 30 days of purchase, provided they are:

  • In their original packaging.
  • Unused and undamaged.

Eligible returns that meet these requirements will be refunded to the original form of payment.

If your return is requested within the 30-day return window but the item has been opened, used or is no longer in its original packaging, you may keep the item and a store credit will be issued instead.

Pregnancy Pillow: 

The pregnancy pillow can be returned risk-free within 30 days of purchase. Products returned within the above parameters will be credited in the same form as the initial payment.

 

14 Day Returns on unopened cribs: 

All crib purchases must be unopened and in their original packaging to return for a full refund. Please submit a return request here. A lead agent from our Customer Care team will reach out to you directly with any follow-up questions.

 

Gift Returns:

If you were gifted an item and it falls under the above guidelines, we'd be happy to offer you store credit in the amount of the purchase. You can initiate the return request through the returns page, and select the option " It was a gift." When selecting this option you will not need the order number. All we will need is a few pieces of information on the item and gift and we can help you along the way to process this return. You can create your return request here. 

 

Travel Crib & Play Yard:

Purchases of the 2023 Travel Crib & Play Yard are at final sale and this item has recently sold out. Returns are allowed for the 2024 version of the Travel Crib & Play Yard. Returns of the 2024 version can be initiated here: https://bit.ly/3g6xNWZ
