What is the inner cover for?

The inner cover or encasement is our viscose fire barrier. Viscose is a non-chemical fire barrier made from reconstituted wood pulp. This approach allows us to meet rigorous Federal standards without the use of chemical flame retardants.

Is the inner cover used the same in all mattress constructions?

The material of the inner cover is the same in all mattress constructions, however, the construction varies. In the Mini and Essential Mattresses, the inner cover is sewn into the outer cover. In the Original and Waterproof Mattresses, the inner cover is separate.

If your cover has a separate inner cover, only clean if soiled
